History
The municipality of Minglanilla was once a part of its adjacent town, Naga. According to the church records, the municipality was founded in 1858 by Fr. Fernando Sanchez, first parish priest. The place was formerly called ‘buat’, A local word for ‘BULAD’ or dried fish. Fr. Sanchez later changed the name to Minglanilla, taken from his obscure place in Spain.

this is a really good post..i grew up in minglanilla till i was 15 and moved to the united states and every time (year) i go back home(cebu) a lot changes it gets more crowded, new building, new people etc. I think our country is growing to fast. Minglanilla is not the old quiet town it was use to be which i liked now its like Cebu city. As you mentioned the youth now a days is un believable i cant even explain it i can talk about this topic all day but my point is that we need to fix our growing problems.
